Is there such a thing as an honest Italian? Oh course there is; but the entertainment industry has done a fine job of associating Italians with mobsters.

Casino, Good Fellas and HBO’s Sopranos have shaped the way that we look at the Mob, but before Scorcese and HBO became famous from the Mob genre, there was the Godfather.

In 1972 Francis Ford Coppola directed and released The Godfather. The book was written by Mario Puzo. The movie was an instant success upon its release, and now, over thirty years later we are still fascinated by the most legendary Mob family ever, the Corleone family.

In 1974 Coppola released The Godfather Part II. Some considered it the best Mafia movie ever made while others felt it was inferior to the prequel. One thing that no one can disagree on is the fact that there was a lot more action in The Godfather Part II. This is where you come in. EA has licensed and created their own version of the Godfather II. I’ve seen some advertisements about this game and it looks interesting. I’m not really sure how much the game actually has to do with the movie, but despite all the overused GTA wannabe replicas, this game might have the most potential. Unlike many of this style games, EA’s Godfather II claims to have superior management and crew command abilities. Well, it is time for me to become a Don. I hope my extortion skills are not too rusty.
